Through the Government of Canada, you may be eligible to receive an upfront payment of up to $10,000 to switch from oil heating to new, energy-efficient heat pumps if:
1. You are a Canadian homeowner
2. You heat your home with oil
3. Your household income is at or below the median household after-tax income
4. You meet all eligibility criteria
Residents in Ontario can apply to get this upfront payment through the Energy Affordability Program.
If you reside in Alberta, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Quebec, and Saskatchewan, get this payment through the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Program.
